We have put a pause on orders whilst we curate new monthly boxes. Coming soon!

We’ve tried to answer your questions here that we thought might come up the most, but we are brand new to this so let us know if we’ve missed anything via out contact form.

Is this like Gousto or Mindful chef?

No, this is completely different. Our monthly deli boxes are a curation of seasonal deli items (Mostly pantry) that you can use throughout the month. It's about being introduced to small batch products made by independent suppliers.

How much does delivery cost?

FREE delivery via DPD courier on Fridays is included in the price of the box.

When can I expect my box to arrive?

Our monthly deli box is delivered on the first Friday of every month. You will receive a notification a day before delivery from DPD with further information on the delivery window on Friday.  Though not necessary, we highly suggest downloading the DPD app. This will enable you to detail any special instructions onto your 'profile' and take a picture of exactly where you would like your box to be left should you not be in on the delivery day.

How are the recipe boxes packaged?

All our cardboard boxes are either recyclable or compostable. Just so you know, On The Table doesn’t use any single-use plastic, but the producers we work with might. We’re working on a better option moving forward – but just a heads up in case you found any pesky bits of plastic in your box.

If I’m not in when you deliver my box, will the ingredients stay fresh?

We use eco-friendly ice packs and cardboard cool boxes – word on the street is that they’ll stay fresh on your doorstep for few hours, but we don’t necessarily recommend using these boxes as a second fridge. Get it in the fridge, then get it on the table.

How do you source your produce?

We source food from independent producers. Most of their produce is small batch and often reared or grown in the UK (some of their produce will come from farther afield). All of our charcuterie comes from native breeds, grass-fed on UK soil. We work seasonally with our suppliers, so you’ll only see veg that’s in season. It’s a big part of why we work with independents. Head to our producers  page if you want to know more about them.

What’s your take on single-use plastic?

On The Table is all about doing things in the most sustainable way possible. This means using cardboard cool boxes (not ones which are plastic-coated wool insulated) and eco ice-packs that contain zero plastic. But because we are sent produce straight from our suppliers, we do use some single-use plastics to safely contain ingredients as we ship them to you.

I’m missing a product in my box.

If it’s not hiding at the bottom of the box or in a cheeky paper bag, get in touch at customerservice@onthetableco.com. We’d hate to think you’re missing out.

When do I need to order my box?

Because we’re working with independents, our part fresh, part pantry deli box is delivered at the beginning of each month. The cut off for this box is the last Monday of the month at 11am so that we can get your box to you that Friday. We will be launching pantry only boxes which will be on a 2-3 day delivery. Those are coming soon!

Can I cancel my order once it’s been placed?

As we work with independent producers we can’t cancel orders if you’ve changed your mind. But if something goes wrong when ordering – like you've entered incorrect details or a delivery date – let us know as soon as possible and we’ll give you a hand. Email us at customerservice@onthetableco.com
