We’ve tried to answer your questions here that we thought might come up the most, but we are brand new to this so let us know if we’ve missed anything via out contact form.
Do you write gift notes?
Yes! We love to write gift notes and make your gift special for whoever you are sending it to. Just pop the note in at the checkout and we will get that done for you. Any issues just email us at hello@onthetableco.com and we will get back to you. If you need something urgently (Like now) get in touch with lucy@onthetableco.com.
How much does delivery cost?
Currently £7.99 on all deliveries.
When can I expect my box to arrive?
Once we have received your order, we guarantee to pack your box and give it to our third party couriers in time for them to deliver it on the day you choose. However, because we use a third party courier, once the box is with them, it's out of our control as to whether they experience any delays in getting the box to the end address on time. Most of the time, they do. However, there is the odd occasion that they experience delays by a day or two, so please keep this in mind when ordering for a special occasion. If you are ordering for an address in Scotland or Northern Ireland, then our couriers take 48 hours, not the usual 24 hours, to get it to you so please order in advance.
How are the boxes packaged?
We use recyclable branded boxes and package them with insulated recyclable paper. Our deli box comes with an Eco Icepack to keep fresh items cool. All our cardboard boxes are either recyclable or compostable. Just so you know, On The Table doesn’t use any single-use plastic, but the producers we work with might. We’re working on a better option moving forward – but just a heads up in case you found any pesky bits of plastic in your box.
If I’m not in when you deliver my box, will the ingredients stay fresh?
We use eco-friendly ice packs in our hampers that contain cheese and cured meats – word on the street is that they’ll stay fresh on your doorstep for few hours, but we don’t necessarily recommend using these boxes as a second fridge. Get it in the fridge, then get it on the table.
How do you source your produce?
We source food from independent producers. Most of their produce is small batch and often produced in the UK (some of their produce will come from farther afield like our balsamic because it's the best over there). All of our charcuterie comes from native breeds, grass-fed on UK soil. We work seasonally with our suppliers, so you’ll only see veg that’s in season. It’s a big part of why we work with independents. Head to our producers page if you want to know more about them.
What’s your take on single-use plastic?
On The Table is all about doing things in the most sustainable way possible. This means using paper based insulation (not ones which are plastic-coated wool insulated) and eco ice-packs that contain zero plastic. But because we are sent produce straight from our suppliers, we do use some single-use plastics to safely contain ingredients as we ship them to you.

My order is delayed or hasn't turned up, who shall I speak to?
This is hands down the most annoying part of running our business, as this part is totally out of our control. If your delivery is delayed, the quickest solution is to call the customer service number for DHL on 02476937777 and give your tracking number to them, and they will guide you through the next steps. You can also email us at hello@onthetableco.com and we can assist.
Can I cancel my order once it’s been placed?
If something goes wrong when ordering – like you've entered incorrect details or a delivery date – let us know as soon as possible and we’ll give you a hand. Email us at hello@onthetableco.com. Equally if you've changed your mind, just send us an email and we will cancel and refund your order.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
We can offer a 14 day return or exchange on any hampers with non perishable items inside. Just get in touch via email to arrange. We charge a restocking and packaging fee of £5. Refunds will be in your account within 7 days.
My box has arrived damaged, what should I do?
